Pig & Rooster T-Shirt - Black
Product Description
Product Description
Superstitious sailors tattooing the Pig & Rooster on themselves date back to the late 19th Century. Livestock were often transported in wooden crates upon naval vessels and would seemingly float if and when the ship would sink. Some would tattoo the pig on their left knee and the rooster on their right foot; giving way to the classic sailor saying, "a pig on the knee, safety at sea". Most commonly though, sailors would tattoo them on each foot as a sign of good luck in the event they found themselves separated from their ship and crew while floating in the middle of the big blue. Even if you're a little 'sticious, this 60/40 poly cotton blend will keep you comfortable while turning heads with the bright bold design that's sure to set you apart from the crowd.
